The finishes on the aluminium framing and mesh components of the intrudaguard product are of the highest quality anodising and powdercoating process and thereby extremely durable.
However like all such products some care and maintenance is essential to ensure that the product continues to operate at peak efficiency and presentation, the following procedures need to be followed.
1. Remove all loose deposits only with a damp sponge. DO NOT DRY DUST as this will result in a scratched surface.
2. In cleaning the frame and mesh to remove dust, salts, grime or any other unwanted deposits, use a sponge and a small amount of mild detergent in warm water. (DO NOT USE ANY HARSH OR ABRASIVE DETERGENT)
3. Always rinse the product thoroughly after cleaning with fresh water to remove any detergent. This is extremely important as any remaining detergent may damage the finish on the product.
4. How often should you clean your intrudaguard product?
In broad terms cleaning should be done every 3 months.
Where the product is installed in more severe conditions such as seaside or industrial areas a cleaning programme should be carried out every 3 to 4 weeks.
