Testing
IntrudaGuard Security Doors are tested in accordance with the Australian Standard AS5041-2003 Method Of Testing Security Screen Doors And Window Grills.
As a result, IntrudaGuard passed the test as shown below and therefore meets the Australian Standard AS5039-2003.
High Impact Test - PASSED
This test is performed using a weight of 37.0kg dropped from a height of 275mm. This test is designed to simulate an attempt by a burglar to force through the screen by repeated impacts.
Jemmy Lock Test 1 - PASSED
This test is performed using a lever. In this case, a 300mm scewdriver is used as shown in the video in an attempt to break open the triple lock. The purpose of this test is to simulate a burglar attempting to break in by levering out the lock.
Jemmy Hinge Test 2 - PASSED
This is the same test as the above jemmy lock test 1 using the same tool on the hinges in an attempt to break the hinges.
Knife Shear Test - PASSED
This test is done on the mesh to assess its capabilities of resisting an attack by a heavy duty cutting knife.
The mesh is subjected to three (3) passes of a cutting knife over a length of 250mm with a new blade each time along the same line of cut.
The mesh withstood the attack and passsed successfully.
Salt Spray (NSS) Test - PASSED
This test is performed in accordance with test method AS2331.3.1 - 2001 - Neutral Salt Spray Test (NSS)
The purpose of this test is to simulate the performance of IntrudaGuard in a coastal or corrosive environment.
The test is performed in a controlled environment with a solution of salt and water spray at samples for a continuous period of over 1000 hours.
The results showed that there was no apparent blistering, rusting or any other defects after 1005 hours of exposure.
Regular cleaning of IntrudaGuard in accordance with the Care and Maintenance guide is essential in extracting the best from your screens.
